My Story
Anastasia has worked in the early childhood education field for over twenty years. She has a bachelor’s degree in child development and psychology. Anastasia loves spending time with her family. She has two sons, Hunter and Hayden, and has been married for twenty-nine years to her best friend, Vic. She loves working with children and helping them learn about the world around them. Anastasia has always wanted to write a children’s book and felt that opening up a dialogue about Alzheimer’s disease in a way that can help children understand was very important to her. As an adult child to a mother with this terrible disease, it was heavy on her heart to share encouragement and support to families dealing with this sad and painful disease. Her mom always told her when she was a little girl that she was going to do something special someday, and she believes this is what she meant. This book is a beautiful way to honor her mom and shine a light on her never-ending love for her. Anastasia feels deep down that her mom knows that she has accomplished this for her and is honored that this story will live on to help families through a difficult time in their lives.
